Every ride should start with the right protection

The foundation encourages families to make helmets, protective gear, and supervision a non-negotiable part of riding.

Supervision matters
  • Riders ages 13 and under should be directly supervised by a parent or guardian.
  • Riders ages 14 to 17 should still be supervised, and ATV or UTV riders should complete a safety course where required.
  • Never ride alone.
  • Know your limits before you ride.
  • Double riding is prohibited unless the vehicle is designed for more than one occupant.
  • Helmets should be worn even when riding outside of public lands.
